RE: How to disable CTRL-S in Form ?? ~Sven Kifoogenli 13.Jan.04 12:07 PM a Web browser Domino Designer 6.0.3Windows 2000
In addition, I'd also like to add that I'd still use a field despite Andre's comments.
I'm well aware that theoretically one should be able to use a global LS variable to store whether the document can be saved or not.
However, in practice I find that the value is often lost when a button on the form is clicked or mode changes, etc, hence I end up with code errors.
This isn't because I've used the same variable name elsewhere - it comes down to the fact that the ND6 client is buggy as hell - I've just finished creating an application which uses frames and popups in Notes client and the majority of my time was taken up by having to work around bugs which should never have been there in the first place.
My opinion - Lotus should have concentrated on ironing out all the R5 bugs for the ND6 release rather than trying to run two development streams for 6 and 6.5 side by side. I dread to think what the 6.5 client will be like to program in.
